The students worked really hard to have the pom pom travel four feet using toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls.

Inquiry Circle

The students have been working hard researching natural disasters.  They are working as team to present what they learned!

DASH

Thank you so much to all the moms that volunteered their time for the DASH program!  The kids learned so much about sound and hearing!

February

We had lots of fun in February!

Mr. Prazar came in and taught us all about matter!
The game day was the most fun!  The kids were so excited to share their games with each other.

Reading

We have been reading non fiction text in the month of January.  The students are working on information that is important versus information that is interesting.  They read a passage on Martin Luther King and had collaborative discussion about what information was important.  They did a great job!

Matter

Mr. Prazar has been visiting us on Thursday.  He is teaching us all about matter and the water cycle.
Ask your child which activity they have liked best!

Patriot's Day

The Patriots won last weekend so we will have another Patriot's Day on Friday.  We are a little superstitious.  GO PATS!

Halloween

Thank you so much to the room mom for planning a great Halloween Party!  The kids had so much fun!

Jeopardy and Science Test

We played a fun game of Jeopardy to prepare us for the science test.  Then we got to take our science test on the IPAD.  The grades will be coming home this week.  All the students did an amazing job!

Ask your child which letters they have to learn to write in cursive!  They love learning cursive!

We learned:

In the American Revolution the first shot was fired April 19, 1775.

Holes in the leaves are called Stoma.

Plants give us oxygen to breathe.

When I do mental math I can round one number to the nearest ten and subtract then add the ones.

If you pay attention and do hard work in life you will get far!  ❤️

The battle of Lexington and Concord was the first battled fought in the Amercian Revolution.

Happy and sad are usually feelings and not character traits.

Plants take a lot of time to grow.

Plants take in Carbon Dioxide.

Boston Tea Party was part of the Revolutionary War.

There are three types of roots.

Tipi Dan

Thank you TESTPO for bringing us Tipi Dan!  The students had so much fun using teamwork to build their own tipi.  Ask you child what their role was in building the tipi.  

There learned all about Native Americans and the names of many different tribes.  They learned the different roles of the men, women and children.
