Last Weekend in March

We are so excited that April is around the corner.  Hopefully it brings some warmer weather.
Last week we performed The Electric Slide.  The kids did a great job.  I am trying to figure out how I can post it.  Still working on it.
This week in math we will begin practicing for the Math MCAS.  We will also begin studying fractions.  Last week we worked on bar graphs and line plots.
In writing we are working on our biographies.  Most of the kids are working on writing their rough drafts.  They are doing a fabulous job.
In science we have been studying sound.  This week will begin D.A.S.H.
Have a great week!

Busy Week

This Tuesady and Wednesday we will have MCAS.  All the kids are ready and will do a great job!  Please send in an extra snack so that they can have one before we start at 9am.  We will not be sending home homework the nights before the MCAS.  Make sure everyone gets a good night's sleep too!

February

Here are some pictures from our Valentine's Day Party!  We had lots of fun!

Last Friday we celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday.  Mrs. Farley came to read us The Lorax.  The kids were great listeners.

In reading and writing we are going to be learning all about biographies.  This week week the students will chose one person to begin researching.
I am proud of there hard work in their MCAS homework.  The ELA MCAS is only a couple weeks away.  They will all do a great job!
In science we have been studying matter.  This week will complete some experiments.
Last week in math the students learned long division which is hard!  They did an amazing job persevering when it got challenging!
