What a Week!!!

Thank for attending Parent Seminar.  It was so nice to meet all of you!

We had a fabulous week at school!
This week the students have been working on using different mental math strategies.  They were able to teach each other their different strategies.  I even got some students on video! These will be posted soon along with some pictures.
Here are some types of problems we were working on!  See if you can solve them with your child:

43 + 67=

56 - 23=

71- 24=

The students are excited watching their plants begin to grow.
We will be starting writing personal narratives next week.  I am looking forward to beginning this unit.

Back to School

We had a great few days back to school!  The kids adjusted well even though it was really hot!
Make sure you return all signed forms as soon as you can.
The kids are playing an activity to get to know each other.  They are looking for friends that they have something in common with.

Reading is fun!
