Native American Perspectives Program

Today the students worked as a team to build a tipi.  They worked so well together.

We are learning how building a tipi is going to happen.

The building begins.
Look at this teamwork!
This is our finished project.  As your students what they learned today about Native Americans.

Thank you!

It was so great meeting you all Thursday night at Parent Seminar.  If you need to reach me please email me or call me.
Mrs. Edelstein came into the classroom and talked about the Zones of Regulation.  We learned that when you are in the green zone then you are ready to learn.  Ask you child about the different zones.

Our plants are starting to grow.  We will continue to observe the plants throughout the week.

I hope you had a great weekend!

Math Workshop and Motor Breaks

Last week we began Math Workshop.  The students are split into four groups.  They usually get to complete two centers but sometimes they get to three.  Ask your child about one center they completed in math.
Here we are taking a motor break!  They are so fun.  Motor breaks wake up our brain and help us to concentrate.

First Days

We had an amazing first two days of school.  The kids are adjusting well even though it has been really hot.  Make sure you send in some water with the kids.  The classroom is really hot by the end of the day.
The students are having fun getting to know each other.  It was also a fun motor break.

Here we are on the first day getting our supplies organized!  They did a great job.

We have gym on Thursday and Fridays so don't forget to wear sneakers.

It is going to be a great year.  If you have question please call or email me.
