Tipi Dan

Thank you TESTPO for bringing us Tipi Dan!  The students had so much fun using teamwork to build their own tipi.  Ask you child what their role was in building the tipi.
There learned all about Native Americans and the names of many different tribes.  They learned the different roles of the men, women and children.
Here the students are sitting in the tipi.
Look at this teamwork!
So fun!

Math Workshop

The students have started math workshop.  They have done a great job transitioning through their centers.
The students are practicing their math facts using the IPad.  They are using Xtra math.  Ask your child how many they got correct?  I have heard some very high numbers.
These students are working in their math workbook and if I wasn't taking the picture I would be working with them.
The students enjoyed playing double compare.  This helps with the math fact fluency.

Welcome Back!

We had a terrific first day of school!  The students came in with smiling faces and they remained smiling throughout the day.  I am so happy to have your child in my class!  It is going to be such an exciting year.

Today we learned about the classroom routines and procedures.  We also completed some getting to know you activities.

For homework please return all paperwork and have your child read for 15 minutes each night.
