Math 12/15

This week in math we are learning to divide with and without reminders.  

Students also learned to divide using mental math strategies.  Ask your child one strategy they can use.

This is one activity the students are completing during our centers this week.  You could even try it at home!

This is the enrichment activity students are completing.  They really had to show some GRIT while solving the problem.

Wompanoag

The students worked very hard on their Wompanoag Project.

After completing their research each group presented to the class what they learned.  All the students chose to put their project on poster board.  

November Enrichment

Literature Circles

The students were very enthusiastic during our literature circles. The students were in four different groups.  Each group was reading a different book.  The books were Jake Drake Bully Buster, Frindle, Stone Fox and How to be a Perfect Person in 3 Days.  I was very impressed with the conversations the students were having.

The students learned that when they were sharing it was important for them to all be on the same page.  They worked hard to persuade their peers.

Each child had to complete this self assessment.
