Reading-
We have started to read non-fiction text.  This week we focused on learning about the different text features and how these text features help us to understand what we are reading.  Some text features we learned are: table of contents, photographs, captions, index, glossary, map, diagrams and many more.  Ask your child which text feature helped them the most when reading their non-fiction book.

Math
This week we learned about the metric system.  The students learned about centimeters, meters, kilometers, grams, kilogram, liters. and millimeters.  Ask you child what activity they completed during centers.

Writing
The students are having so much fun writing their opinion on who is the better quarterback, Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.  We rearched the statistic on both players and now students ar busy writing their opinions.
